  • receive new cadastral documentation - preparation of the relevant papers can take up to 30 days by the Cadastre Registration Service;
  • obtain a new certificate of ownership of the property.

It is important to remember that if all these stages are completed within the time limits established by law, then the entire redevelopment process will take several months.

Regulatory authorities may refuse to issue a permit in the following cases:

  • if the owner of the apartment has not provided a complete set of documentation;
  • if those government bodies that do not have the authority to deal with such issues were involved in the registration;
  • if the redevelopment project does not comply with established legislative and construction standards.

An amnesty for redevelopment of an apartment is possible only for those types of redevelopment of premises that do not pose a threat to the structure of the entire building.

How to agree on redevelopment step by step

Coordination of the redevelopment of premises (despite the fact that in almost every case it is a lengthy and labor-intensive procedure) generally consists of typical sequential actions:

  • consultations with specialists to assess the complexity of the upcoming work and the need for approval;

Features of redevelopment of premises in Moscow

Moscow has already received the unspoken definition of a “state within a state”, since it has its own legislative regulations in almost all areas of life and activity. But, as practice has shown, this did not relieve the bulk of the problems of owners of premises in buildings. Registration of a mandatory package of documents for further registration today remains a labor-intensive procedure, shortcomings and errors in which can ultimately result in serious problems, time and financial losses. Therefore, all changes to the existing layout and to the existing information of the State Property Committee and the Unified State Register must be made strictly in accordance with the law.
