BTI carries out registration and issuance of certificates and other technical documentation upon request from a limited circle of persons:

Since the validity period of the floor plan and explication, although formally unlimited, is actually 5 years, very often it becomes necessary for Moscow residents to obtain this document again, make changes to the technical part, and re-register it.

The validity periods of BTI documents were abolished on September 1, 2007, when regulation on relevance was introduced. This rule does not apply to documents whose validity periods are established by separate regulations.
