What is temporary registration?

Temporary registration is the registration of a citizen at a specific address that is not his main place of residence. Such registration must be done by both Russian and foreign citizens who do not live at their permanent residence address for a long period of time.

Temporary registration usually takes from one to three days, and it is a free procedure for Russian citizens. But foreign visitors will need to pay a fee of about 200 rubles.

It is also necessary to pay attention to the fact that for visitors with a Russian passport, temporary registration is made for a period of at least six months, but for citizens with a foreign passport, registration can be made for a period not exceeding three months from the day they crossed the border of the Russian Federation .

What documents are needed to obtain temporary registration?

If a citizen receives temporary registration at the place of stay, he must have the following package of documents with him:

To obtain temporary registration, it is necessary to prepare a list of documents specified in the Housing Code of the Russian Federation and the Administrative Regulations for the provision of state registration services. The uniqueness of this procedure is that documents are submitted by both those wishing to register and homeowners providing temporary shelter.

Documents from the applicant:

Temporary registration in the apartment

Most often, visiting citizens are given temporary registration in an apartment. Documents for temporary registration of a citizen in an apartment may differ depending on whether it is municipal housing or privatized. If the residential premises are municipal, then there are two sets of documents for registering citizens in such an apartment:

  1. When registering close relatives, you will need the following documents: 1.1.Passport the one already living in this apartment; 1.2 .Visitor's passport a citizen who wants to register in this area; 1.3. Statement from everyone who lives in this apartment. Registration in a private house is possible if:

5How long does it take to obtain temporary registration?

Typically, the entire procedure takes about eight days. FMS employees will immediately tell you the date on which you can pick up the certificate.

The document itself looks like a small reference. You need to carry it in your passport, since without presenting an identity document, the certificate is invalid. No temporary registration marks are placed directly in the passport.

What documents are needed for temporary registration of a child?

In order to obtain temporary registration for a child, the following documents are required:

In what cases is it necessary to obtain a temporary residence permit?

In order for a resident to receive all the necessary conditions for living, for the proper performance of his duties to the country and society, as well as for the right to exercise his rights and freedoms, he is obliged to submit documents for temporary registration within 90 days from the date of residence in the chosen city , based on the above law. This is necessary, first of all, to avoid violations thereof.

If a resident does not formalize temporary registration within 90 days from the date of arrival in the city, then in the future he must leave the city or pay a fine in the amount of 1,500 to 2,500 rubles.

An administrative penalty is also imposed on the owner of the apartment who allowed a person to live with him for more than 90 days. Fines are collected in accordance with Article 19.15 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations.

Without an “attributed” document, a citizen loses the right to draw up the necessary documents and restore lost ones. It will also be impossible to purchase a car or real estate.
